VinoQuest offers a variety of consulting services, with pricing on an individual basis:
You own, or are in charge of the wine purchasing at, a restaurant. Let
VinoQuest help you create or improve your wine list. Too many restaurants
today have boring wine lists, with only the wines of a couple of large
distributors represented. Perhaps even worse, many restaurants have wines
that don't match their food. For example, many Chinese restaurants offer a
few Cabernet Sauvignons and Chardonnays because these are the most popular
grape varietals in the U.S., even though Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot
Gris go much better with Chinese food. | |
You love wine. You would love to have a wine tasting in your home (or
other location), but you're intimidated because you don't know how to conduct
a tasting, what wines to serve, etc. VinoQuest can organize and run a tasting
for you of any size, in your home, or at the location of your choice. Aside
from being fun, such tastings are very educational, and are the best way to
train your palate and learn about wine. VinoQuest can
supply the wines, or run a tasting with wines that you supply. There are
numerous possibilities: a vertical (multi-vintage) tasting of the wines of
one producer (e.g. 10 years of Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon), a horizontal
(same vintage) tasting of wines from a particular geographic area (e.g. 1997
Cabernet Sauvignons from California), a sampling from different producers of
the same varietal in different geographic areas (e.g. different Syrahs from
California, the Rhone Valley of France and Australia), etc. Tastings can be
completely open (everyone knows what wines they are tasting when they taste
them), single blind (everyone knows what wines are being poured, but not the
identity of each wine) or double blind (no one knows what wines are being
poured, even if they know something about the theme - e.g. the varietal,
country, etc.). | |
